Goldie and Dave traveled to Independence, Iowa, on April 13, 2026, back to the state mental hospital where Goldie and her family lived from 1858-1978. Goldie interviewed the current superintendent and did some filming for Comin’ Home, the sequel and backstory movie to her Rainbow in the Night movie. Your prayers are appreciated for this next step in Goldie’s journey as she and the team produce the movie, Comin’Home.

We are very excited that “COMIN’ HOME” (the backstory movie to the Rainbow in the Night movie) is moving forward! After the trip back home to Independence, Iowa, the next phase is interviewing several people about how and why they wanted to support the “Rainbow in the Night” movie.
During the Q&A after the movie screenings around the country, one of the main questions was always, “What motivated people to support the movie and what was their role?” It has been a blessing to hear during the filming the response to those questions. It’s very clear that this book and movie had such a powerful impact on so many people that they felt compelled to get involved. I believe the backstory will be inspiring as the story of redemption continues. Enjoy the picture slider of filming some interviews.
