Rabbi Michael Wolf invited Jane “Goldie” and Dave Winn to host a movie screening for “Rainbow in the Night” at Beth Messiah Messianic Congregation in Cincinnati, OH, on Saturday, September 28, 2024. The movie was shown during the Shabbat service and had a very powerful impact on the congregation. We had someone from a local pregnancy center who was able to pray with women who were feeling pain over past abortions. Others came forward sharing how they could relate to Goldie’s life story. It was truly a blessed event, and we were very grateful to the Lord for using the movie to touch so many people’s hearts.

Past Rainbow in the Night Movie Screenings

Goldie was invited by Pastor Mike and Cheryl Goldbloom for a movie screening of Rainbow in the Night to be held at Shalom Assembly of Church in Willow Grove, PA, on Sunday May 19, 2024. Pastor Mike and Cheryl have been praying for the movie even before it was produced. They have given generously to help bring the movie to the big screen. The screening was held during the Sunday service, and people were deeply touched. Since Goldie and her husband Dave lived in PA for over 28 years, many friends of theirs came from far and wide to watch the movie. There were great questions during the Q&A, and a couple of women were able to share about their pain after abortion and will now receive healing through a local pregnancy center offering post-abortion counseling. Truly a blessed event!

The venue was inviting and intimate. Goldie and Cindy opened with a worship song, and after the movie during the Q&A, people shared with transparency how Goldie’s life story impacted them. It was a very meaningful time of sharing. Goldie had a book signing afterwards, and there was a nice time of fellowship and refreshments. A truly blessed event!

It was a truly inspiring story of overcoming a difficult childhood, falling into a destructive lifestyle as a young adult, and culminating in the decision to have an abortion. The real story though is about God’s love and His redemption, which she finds through the love of other believers. In the process, there is reconciliation with her family, freedom from the guilt and shame of her decision, and a life of serving others.

I highly recommend showing this movie. It is especially an encouragement for those that may have experienced the trauma of abortion and living with the guilt and shame of that decision.

Goldie had the opportunity to have a movie screening for Rainbow in the Night in Stow, Ohio, at Akron Shalom Ministries on Saturday, April 27, 2024. It was a lovely and intimate venue, and people were very touched by the movie and Goldie’s life story. The event opened with the blowing of the shofar and Goldie and Cindy sang a worship song. After the movie, there was a Q&A and book signing followed by a lovely fellowship lunch and prayer time together. Many new friendships were made, and it was a blessed event!

The Rainbow in the Night movie provides an excellent firsthand account of how life’s circumstances can effect the choices we make. Rejected and emotionally abused by her father, Goldie finds acceptance in the hippie community—at least for a season.

Eventually the hallucinatory drugs, free sex, an unwanted pregnancy, and a subsequent abortion leave her feeling empty and without hope. However, an unexpected encounter with the living God changed everything.

This movie details Goldie’s journey, struggle, and search to find her purpose and identity. And that she did.

We had a blessed Shabbat service at L’Chaim Messianic Congregation in Lake Worth, Florida, on Saturday, November 4, 2023. (L’Chaim has since moved their location to Wellington, Florida.) I was honored they showed the “Rainbow in the Night” during the actual service. People were deeply impacted, and it was an honor to pray for those needing healing and encouragement after the movie. After the service, L’Chaim hosted a delicious Oneg luncheon, and I was available for a book signing and a time for Q&A. People asked very meaningful questions and shared about how the movie touched certain issues in their own lives. People talked about how the movie brought hope and encouragement, and many want to recommend a movie screening in other churches and congregations they think will be interested. It truly was an honor to share my life story on the big screen as much hope is needed now more than ever during these challenging times we are facing in the U.S. and in our beloved Israel. “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. They shall prosper that love thee.”

Past Rainbow in the Night Movie Screenings

Church in the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, FL, hosted a movie screening on January 28,2024, for the Rainbow in the Night movie. The church catered a delicious dinner from CR Chicks for the guests, and there were 70 people in attendance from many different churches and Messianic congregations all throughout Palm Beach County. Pastor Todd Joyner and his wife Carla were very excited about showing the movie in their church, and both said it far exceeded their expectations.

There was an animated Q&A following the movie, and many people shared how different parts of my story had an impact on their own stories. The consensus was that people felt that sharing my story in a transparent and vulnerable way without a script made the movie very poignant and brought out a lot of emotion in the viewing audience.

Goldie had a book-signing afterwards, and several people purchased multiple books to give to others who need encouragement and healing from a painful past. A blessed event and all glory to God!

Goldie invited Toni Weisz and other facilitators from the abortion-recovery ministry, MyAshesToBeauty.com, to attend the Rainbow in the Night movie screening. There is always the possibility other post-abortive women might get triggered after watching Goldie talk about her traumatic second-trimester abortion story and might need post-abortion support and healing. It was a blessing they could be there.

The audience was seated just before the meal was served, and Goldie gave an introduction about the Rainbow in the Night movie. After the movie, Goldie came forward for the Q&A. There were excellent questions and honest sharing about events in the movie that people could identify with, and they wanted to share their feelings.

CITG catered a delicious dinner from CR Chicks for everyone at the movie screening. Church members graciously served everyone. The sanctuary was set up like a dinner theater with round tables and white table clothes. A very intimate setting.

Cornerstone Fellowship Church in West Palm Beach hosted a movie screening for the “Rainbow in the Night” movie on Wednesday night, February 21, 2024. Pastor Mickey Oliphant has a passion for pro-life and preaches about it regularly from the pulpit. He graciously opened his church to show the movie.

People were deeply impacted, and someone who needed healing from past abortions asked for prayer and was referred for post-abortion counseling. I am honored to share my abortion story in the hopes that women who have been suffering in silence would feel free to ask for help and prayer. During the Q&A, people shared how they could identify with different aspects of my story and people said they were glad they attended and received hope and encouragement.

There was a movie screening for Rainbow in the Night at Iglesia Fe Y Vida, which meets at Church in the Gardens in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The movie was shown on April 12, 2024 at 7:00 pm for a movie night. It was such a blessing that this was the very first Spanish-only speaking church to show the movie with the Spanish subtitles. Alberto attends the church and is bilingual and translated for me during the Q&A. People were greatly impacted, and many shared about how the movie touched them in a very profound way. This is a very loving family-oriented church. It was very exciting to see the Spanish subtitles up on the big screen! Enjoy the picture slider of the event.
